Now it's over - looking back over Marathon 2

It's Monday and I'm hopefully going to enjoy this day of rest. Here are some of my videos from day 2 which gives you a flavour of how tough it was. It was a glorious sunny day. Probably the worst for scenery out of the 3 marathons, albeit the last 8 miles were beautiful, but I was past caring at that point!

It was bliss getting in the bath last night with a cup of tea (Geezer knows how good this feels!). Slept like a baby and ouch my legs feel sore today. No blisters, just some bruising around my ankles and really sore ribs - not sure why - probably had my rucksack on too tight!

Oh yes it's over and I did it!

3rd marathon done and dusted. Have you ever been on the coastal path from Lulworth Cove to Studland. The cliffs are so steep the've built steps into them. I've never stumbled up so many, only to find that we're going straight back down the other side!!! Thankfully the second half was a little easier, with 3 miles of beach to finish. Running on the beach - wind in my hair, sea lapping at my ankles... Finished with a sprint to the line and a smile. Another 28 miles by my GPS watch and just under the magic 6 hours. An hour in a mini bus back to base...oh how i seized up...and then i drove home, big mac and milkshake in hand. Great video of me trying to get up my steps to the front door. Anyway I'll load the photos and video tomorrow. Thanks for all your comments, texts, and sponsorship. Over £800 - really amazing.
